Y? Because we like you…

Yes, (I mean that as in agreement not as in a salutation to your imaginary friend) it is true. I did have imaginary friends. In fact, they were not only friends, they were more like family. I am guilty of having a whole litter of imaginary sisters. My favorites were Stacy and Chase. I can not remember how many I actually had, because that number frequently changed. I was kind of like the foster house of imaginary siblings, all of which were named after characters on either The Mickey Mouse Club or Kids Incorporated. Stacy and Chase were always around though. Man, Stacy must be graduating high school right about now. Time sure does fly by…

While we’re on the subject, I also had “a good mommy and daddy.” As in, “Oh yeah, you say I can’t stay up past 8? Well, I’m going to ask ‘my good mommy and daddy’!!!” In my head I think I thought my parents would fear that perhaps I actually did have another secret set of parents and would then open for negotiations. It never really worked though. At least when I got sent to my room and/or time-out I had all those pesky little sisters to occupy my time.
