Shopaholic Goes to Michaels…

I like to consider myself a good shopper. I shop sale racks like a pro and I utilize the wonderment that is TARGET…like its my job. However, when I walk into Michael’s its like something comes over me. Maybe its the color red. Target is red, Michael’s is red, Swedish Fish are red. mmmm, I do see a pattern.

So today on my trip to Michael’s I was stopping by after work to buy a pack of scrapbook paper and MAYBE a strand of pretty jewelry beads I eyed last time. THEN I saw the sign for the frame sale. I thought I would splurge on a frame or two for pictures from your (my sister…because now that we have blog friends I feel I should clarify. yay friends.) wedding and Italy. I thought that to be practical. Now, keeping that in mind, here are the items that I had purchased when I left the store:

- 3 black picture frames
- 2 black frame mattings
- 1 unfinished wooden nightstand
- 1 bottle decoupage glue and finish
- 1 white wooden L to hang on the wall
- 2 decorative storage boxes
- 1 paint brush

um yeah, apparently the minute I walk into Michael’s I suddenly feel as those I can single-handedly conquer the crafting world. I’m lucky they didn’t have those red Michaels’ aprons on sale because I probably would’ve bought that too.

Also, I just spent my Friday night watching 3.5 hours of TLC with a Law & Order sandwiched in the middle. I’m lame.

  1. Dude, the 3.5 hours of TLC was totally necessary after such an intense shopping experience. You needed to relax.

If you need any colored pencils to go with your craft supplies, let me know. On Friday I went to Target for diet coke and I impulse-bought two dresses, yoga pants, sandals and six boxes of colored pencils.

  2. “hours…were”

    not “hours…was”
    too bad i didn’t impulse-buy a grammar handbook
