A few more observations on the SAG awards:
–When House goes off the air, someone needs to give Hugh Laurie a talk show. Or make him write a book. Something. He’s the only actor who won both a GG and SAG and had anything fresh to say in accepting the latter.
–Can someone PLEASE write a speech on a 3×5 and tuck it in Forest Whitaker’s pocket before the next awards ceremony? Because there’s verklempt and then there’s just AWKWARD.
–Chandra Wilson gave the second-best speech of the night. Her “thank you for accepting me as I am” message was touching, but she had me at “rehab.” She said “rehab” in her acceptance speech. I love her so much.
–Best accessory of the night: Chocolate chip cookies. When Abigail Breslin pulled a zip-loc bag of cookies out of her purse, I wanted to give her a hug. And then steal her cookies. They looked homemade. Yum.
