Tell Me More, John Stamos.
There are rumors of a “John Stamos-influenced” Full House remake, complete with Stephanie and DJ Tanner. I could just end the post there. But, that statement alone brings about so many thoughts and questions.
Will Kimmy Gibbler be involved?
Do we have to suffer through Danny Tanner even though he’s now gone out of his way to be crude and vulgar in his stand up routines? Is he grandfathered in? Because that’s creepy.
Now that they are old enough that child labor laws no longer apply, which Olsen twin gets the gig?
I think if a Full House remake is made, then no one would admit to watching it. Yet, the ratings would contradict these claims. You know you are curious…
However, they have to be sensitive to the audiences preconceptions of these characters. For example, there will be nothing sexual in nature. Uncle Jesse was the only one who could even insinuate such ideas. When it says that the characters of Stephanie and DJ would be young women, I fear an uncomfortable Sex and the City meets Full House vibe. Stephanie Tanner goes out clubbing all night and winds up in bed with a strange man who proceeds to throw her out the next morning when his wife comes home. Our little Steph grabs her clothes, crosses her arms, pouts, and exclaims “How ruuuuude!”
NOT cool, Stamos, not cool.
We’ve seen the shenanigans all of these actors and actresses have gotten into since the show went off the air, but I’d like to preserve their characters in my “so cheesy it’s annoying but I still used to watch every TGIF” memories.
Would I watch Full House now? No. (It’s not like it’s Saved By The Bell or something…)
Do I want anyone disturbing the legacy of the show? Absolutely not.
However, John Stamos, I am intrigued by your semi-Full House ideas. Therefore, carry on with your “plans” and let’s see where it takes us.
I just have one request.
I want Comet to be involved.

It was over as soon as it began. Like the careers of the twins who played Nicky and Alex Katsopolis. http://www.eonline.com/uberblog/watch_with_kristin/b72921_full_house_remake_completely_dead.html
